Brad Scott Payne

When Brad was a very little boy we knew that he loved sports. We knew from the beginning that he had a special talent. Besides his incredible smile and gentle heart he was a great team player. Always looking out for the other team members weather it was motivational or just keeping them going. As a family we have been traveling for years watching him play all over the mid west. Some seasons in baseball we counted 60-90 games a year he would play. Thats a lot of games and thats just baseball. When the last week of summer would come and he would have one weekend, maybe one weekend before football would start we would hurry to the lake and camp. Then football.. oh my the practices.. every single day 2 hrs after school and then every saturday until Thanksgiving. Three years of championship titles.. a few undefeated.
When he was little we would drive to Montana to play with Grandma for a few weeks each summer or fall. I think this was a Christmas event.. No snow in Dec in Montana.. it was weird. I think on the way their it was the year Princess Diana was killed and we were reading a book while traveling and it came across the radio that she had been killed. It was shocking news. We always had a great time at Grandmas house.
This was the beginning.. notice the left handed swing.. Yes from the very beginning he was a south paw all the way.
This next friday this little boy who is now almost 18 and a Senior at Viewmont High will receive an Academic Athletic Award in his 5A High School. 3.8 GPA Can't tell you how much I learn from him each day. It is truely a joy to be his mother and to follow him. Who knows whats around the corner. We look forward to his last season in baseball at Viewmont High.

Raider David Payne

This is Raider. Raider belongs to my oldest son Nate and his wife Jamie. Raider is just three months younger than Brooklyn. Cuz.. is what they call each other. Raider is the wiggliest little boy around. He climbs up everything and then jumps and rolls and keeps on going. He has the cutest little growl. I just love that little face. It is always smiling. So sweet..He loves to hug and snuggle. I can't get him to slow down enough to do that but I see him hug on his mom and dad and it is the cutest thing ever. I hope he grows up to be a tender hearted man just like his daddy and a smart little cookie just like his mom. What fun they are to have around. I feel so lucky to get to see them as often as we do. I can't imagine not having them around.
This is Brooklyn Renee Symes. She just turned two and is the smartest two year old that you will ever meet. She loves to come to grandma and grandpa's house and play. Since Brookie has been a baby we have taken her to all the parks that are very close to our house. She loves to go and play with grandpa on the slides and on Dina..(Dina is a big old green dinasoar that glides back and forth). She also loves to go to the little farm down the street. Spiro the keeper of the animals lets Brookie and grandpa come and pet the animals. She really loves the baby bunnies. She is kind of afraid of the geese. They HONK really loud.. Since Brookie could walk she has loved taking the dogs on a walk. She likes little Annie because she is little and doesnt pull away from her. Missy.. or simmy as Brookie calls her loves to get a pull also. What fun we have spending time with her. Each day new words and now phrases come out and it is so much fun to watch her grow up. I am sure before long we will be sitting on the side of a Soccer field cheering her on.

The wind is starting blow a cool breeze.. it must be fall
